Jim’s experience includes P&L responsibility across multiple continents, consulting for C-Suite clients across disciplines, strategy development, operationalizing those strategies and delivering execution by integrating technology, process, structure and talent to drive change.

Jim was previously the Senior Vice President for IBM’s Growth Market Unit where he was responsible for over 150 countries (all brands) with a P&L of $23 billion. Prior roles at IBM included General Manager for the Southwest Europe business unit ($9 billion P&L) and the Managing Partner of the North America Consulting business ($7 billion P&L). Jim’s work at IBM helped increase market share while driving significant profit improvement.

At PwC Consulting, Jim served as CFO and helped lead the spinout of the Consulting business that resulted in the eventual sale to IBM. Prior roles at PwC included Senior Partner where he led practices focused on go-to-market, business model design / optimization, performance management and talent optimization projects for clients of varying sizes and complexity across industries and geographies.

Jim previously served on the board of EnterpriseDB, is currently the Chairman and CEO of CareerArc and continues to provide consulting services to CEOs.

Jim co-authored the book eCFO, has authored numerous articles, is a featured speaker at conferences and was awarded the Leadership Award by Consulting Magazine in 2009.
