Matthew Remo

Matthew Remo is the SVP, Director of Strategy and Development at Peapack-Gladstone Bank. Matthew has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, including previous positions as a VP, Senior Enterprise Risk Officer and Senior Examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In their current role, they are responsible for leading the bank's strategic planning and development initiatives.

Remo has a deep understanding of the banking industry, having worked in various areas including personal and institutional wealth management, treasury, commercial and retail lending. Matthew has led FRB system-wide Horizontal Capital and Horizontal Liquidity Reviews, focused on stress testing elements of contingency funding planning, scenario design, limit structures, policies and procedures. Matthew has also been a point person for the management of LIBOR and CECL transition plans and actions.

Remo is a highly effective communicator, with experience in communicating with senior and executive personnel on topics such as performance and strategic objectives, new products and initiatives, emerging risks, market conditions, and operational risk management. Matthew is also a commissioned Safety and Soundness Examiner by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Additionally, they have formal training in cyber security, I.T., CECL, preparing-to-lead (communication/interpersonal management training).

Matthew Remo obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut School of Business. Their field of study was finance.
