Manju Sugathan

Manju Sugathan is a seasoned academic professional with extensive experience in the field of design and education. Currently serving as Senior Manager at Usha International since August 2024 and holding the position of Associate Dean, Academic Governance at Pearl Academy since May 2017, Manju also contributes as an Associate Professor in the same institute. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant role at Nottingham Trent University focused on E-textile design, consumption, and marketing from 2015 to 2016, and a Teaching Assistant position at the University of Leeds from February 2012 to July 2015. Earlier in the career, Manju worked as an Assistant Professor in the Design faculty at Pearl Academy, Chennai, from January 2010 to January 2012. Manju holds a PhD in Sustainable Textile Design from the University of Leeds (2012-2015) and an MA in Knitwear Design from Nottingham Trent University (2007-2008).
