Ian McKeown

Ian McKeown is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in IT operations and management. Currently serving as CISO and SVP of Technology Operations at Pearson since April 2015, Ian is responsible for the engineering and delivery of cloud services, DevOps, and ITSM capabilities across Pearson's global portfolio. Prior to Pearson, Ian held the position of Director of IT Services at Vodafone, overseeing applications operations for numerous operating companies and partner markets. Ian's earlier roles include IT Director at Nortel Networks, where responsibility encompassed global IT infrastructure, and CIO at Harland and Wolff Heavy Industries Limited, focusing on IT efficiencies. Ian's career began at Bombardier Aerospace, where various IT and business roles contributed to organizational transformation. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Business Transformation from Queens University, Belfast, an MSc in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, and a BSc in Computation from The University of Manchester.
