Gene Fashaw is an experienced educator and leader currently serving as a Voices Of Change Fellow at EdSurge and a Lab Host Fellow at the Public Education & Business Coalition, where focus areas include leadership skills, research-based practices, and equity indicators. As an 8th Grade Math Teacher and Middle School Lead at High Point Academy-Aurora, Gene employs strategies for fostering student social-emotional health and supporting teacher mental well-being. Previous roles include National Policy Advisory Board Member and National Change Agent Fellow with Teach Plus, addressing educational equity and leading initiatives in response to pandemic-related challenges.
