Kristen Niemitalo

Kristen Niemitalo currently serves as a Boettcher Teacher Resident at Steele Elementary School in Denver Public Schools through the Public Education & Business Coalition since August 2017. Prior experience includes roles as a sweets baker at Great Harvest Bread Co. and a philosophy teacher assistant at Wheaton College, where responsibilities involved grading and supporting introductory courses. Kristen also demonstrated leadership skills as a Wilderness Passage Leader, guiding a wilderness orientation trip for freshmen, and contributed to community service as an intern at the Restoration Outreach Project, tutoring students and running a food bank. In academia, Kristen supported Dr. Cliff Williams as a research assistant, and earlier experience includes camp counseling at Honey Rock Camp, focused on youth ministry and wilderness training. Kristen holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Wheaton College, completed in 2017.
