Peconic Bay Medical Center
Founded in 1951 as Central Suffolk Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center is the largest hospital in eastern Suffolk County, and the Eastern Hub of Northwell Health, the largest healthcare organization in New York State. As a not-for-profit 200-bed community hospital, we serve as the primary resource for advanced healthcare services for the 250,000+ residents of the Riverhead area, eastern central Suffolk County, and Long Island's North Fork. We provide our service area's only Interventional Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Suite, Level III Trauma Center, and NYS-Designated Stroke Center. In addition to a network of community-based primary care and specialist physician offices, we also operate a 60-bed 5-star-rated skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, Suffolk County's largest certified home health agency, and a community-based ambulatory and urgent care campus in Manorville, NY. We also host and sponsor well-regarded internship and residency programs as a major clinical campus for the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Long Island's largest JRCERT-accredited school of radiologic technology, affiliated with SUNY Empire State College.
