Jennifer Drofenik has a diverse work experience. Jennifer started their career as a Communications Assistant at Peconic Landing in September 2012. Jennifer then worked as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy from September 2011 to September 2012. After that, they returned to Peconic Landing and held several roles including Administrator in Training, Assistant Administrator of Skilled Nursing, Administrator of Assisted Living, and currently holds the position of Director of Health Services. During their time at Peconic Landing, Jennifer has demonstrated strong leadership skills, overseeing operations in various healthcare settings and ensuring compliance with regulations. Jennifer specializes in dementia care and is passionate about providing purposeful and quality care for residents. Prior to their work at Peconic Landing, Jennifer worked as a Sales & Events Coordinator at Brecknock Hall.
Jennifer Drofenik obtained a Master's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Ohio University, where they attended from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Administration/Management from Endicott College, from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Jennifer has acquired several additional certifications. Jennifer became a Dementia Capable Care Certified Instructor from the Crisis Prevention Institute in November 2021. Jennifer also graduated from the IGNITE Leadership Academy offered by Leading Age New York in May 2019. Jennifer obtained a license as a Nursing Home Administrator from the National Association of Long Term Care Administrators (NAB) in October 2015. Jennifer has also pursued certification as a Dementia Practitioner from the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners and as a Certified Interact Champion from Pathway Health, although the specific dates for obtaining these certifications were not provided.
