Jorge Del Toro, MD, MBA, FAAP, FCCP, CPE has extensive experience in medical affairs and leadership roles. Jorge began their career at West Orange Farm Workers Health Association as a General Pediatrician, where they played a key role in establishing practice standards and achieving Joint Commission accreditation. Jorge then joined Pediatrix Medical Group, where they held several positions including Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer. In these roles, they provided executive leadership, oversaw medical practices, and ensured the delivery of high-quality care. Jorge also served as the Vice President of Clinical Education and Medical Affairs, where they developed strategic talent development programs. Currently, Jorge Del Toro is the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Pediatrix Medical Group, where they lead a matrixed organization providing oversight and support to physicians and advanced practice providers across 32 states.

Jorge Del Toro, MD, MBA, FAAP, FCCP, CPE has a comprehensive education history. Jorge holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in management from the University of Miami Herbert Business School. Additionally, they completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, specifically at Texas Children's Hospital. Jorge earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, where they also completed their Pediatric Residency. Jorge obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a pre-medicine focus, from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez. Furthermore, they undertook a Chief Wellness Officer Course at Stanford University School of Medicine.

In addition to their educational achievements, Jorge has obtained several certifications. Jorge is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE) accredited by the American Association for Physician Leadership®. Jorge also holds a Diplomate Certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners. Jorge is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physicians (FAAP) through the American Academy of Physicians (AAP). Jorge is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), recognized by the American College of Chest Physicians. Moreover, they are certified in General Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and holds a Sub Board of Pediatric Critical Care Certification from the ABP as well. Jorge possesses a medical licensure and is fully licensed in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Kansas.
