Nydia Altamirano, MPH, RN, CPC has extensive experience in clinical systems and platform operations. Nydia held various roles at Pediatrix Medical Group, including VP Clinical Systems & Platform Operations and Sr. Director, Clinical Systems & Platform Operations. In these roles, they were responsible for establishing the strategic use of clinical information systems, managing the software development life cycle, and leading a multi-disciplinary team for system deployments. Prior to that, they worked at Jackson Memorial Hospital as a Clinical Care Systems Coordinator, overseeing the planning and implementation of care planning and disease management systems. Nydia also worked as a Clinical Information Systems Consultant at Infotech Soft, Inc, where they provided clinical oversight for mobile mental health assessment systems and collaborated in the development of performance tracking software. Earlier in their career, they served as a Case Management and Pre-Authorization Coordinator at AvMed, where they developed and implemented a prenatal wellness program and coordinated care for high-risk obstetrical patients.
Nydia Altamirano, MPH, RN, CPC holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology from the FIU Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work. Nydia also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nursing from the College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Florida International University. In addition, they are a Registered Nurse, certified by the State of Florida. Aside from their academic achievements, Nydia possesses various certifications such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, SSCC - Six Sigma Champion Certified, 3M Clinical Documentation Improvement, A+, Certified Professional Coder, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.
