Rafael Olivera

Rafael Olivera is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and engineering management. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at PedidosYa since May 2021, Rafael leads the Payments & Risk Processor and previously built and grew an anti-fraud platform. Rafael also taught Software Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay, covering topics such as AWS, Docker, and architectural principles. Prior roles include Lead Developer at SOUTHWORKS, IT Fraud Prevention Leader and Operations Team Leader at dLocal, Front-End Developer at Despegar, and Software Developer at Designware. Rafael holds a Software Engineering degree from Universidad de la República and completed high school at "General Artigas" Military High School.
