Jane Yelland

Jane Yelland has extensive experience in environmental management and sustainability within the mining industry, currently serving as an Advisory Council Member at IWiM - International Women in Mining and Manager of Environment, Social, and Sustainability at Peel Mining Limited since December 2022. With a strong background in environmental consultancy, Jane has held significant roles at Cadia Valley Operations as Approvals and Community Superintendent and as Central West Representative for WIMNet NSW. Past positions include Environmental Consultant at GWS Personnel and Senior Environmental Scientist at Umwelt Environmental & Social Consultants. Jane's career with Xstrata spans over a decade in various health, safety, and environmental management roles. Jane holds a Bachelor of Science in Resource and Environmental Management from the Australian National University and is pursuing a Certificate IV in Fitness from the Australian Institute of Fitness.
