Terry Palmer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several roles and industries. Terry started their career in 1979 as a Toolmaker at Lucas Diesel Systems and later worked at Weidmuller UK as an Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Services Manager. In 2005, they became an Operations Manager at HBC Engineering Solutions Ltd before joining Marshalls plc as a Business Unit Manager in 2010. Terry then moved on to Peel Ports Medway, where they served as the Head of Operations in 2017 and later became the General Manager at Peel Ports - London Medway in 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Terminal Operations and Engineering - South East ports cluster at Peel Ports Group, where they are responsible for strategic decision-making and change programs, as well as promoting positive customer relationships and overseeing P&L accountability.

Terry Palmer attended Horsted College from 1979 to 1982, where they obtained an ONC/HNC degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician. In addition to their formal education, Terry has also earned several certifications throughout their career. These include the MCA Level 4 Oil Spill certification from Adler & Allan in 2018, the PFSO certification from Colossal in 2018, the ILM-5 in Management and Supervision from City & Guilds in 2016, the ILM-3 Management and Supervision certification from ILM in 2009, and the IOSH certification from PFP SAFETY SERVICES LTD.
