Jason Hoyt is the founder and CEO of PeerJ, a research sharing platform. Jason has a long history in the research and development field, having worked as a Research Director and Chief Scientist at Mendeley from 2009 to 2012. At Mendeley, Jason was responsible for product management, personnel management, business development, and public engagement. Jason also co-wrote several grants, including the 2009 Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways grant from the European Commission. Jason is a well-known figure in the research community and has spoken at many high-profile conferences and media interviews.
Jason Hoyt has a Ph.D. in Genetics from Stanford University School of Medicine, a BS in Microbiology from Brigham Young University, and certification from Kauffman Fellows and Techstars in Venture Deals Fall 2017.
