Erica Werneman Root

Erica Werneman Root is a Senior Consultant at EWR Consulting Ltd, starting in August 2023, and also serves as a Consultant for Peerpoint from January 2024, focusing on interim assignments. Previously, Erica held the position of Head of Privacy and Senior Legal Counsel at Thriva from August 2022 to January 2024 and worked as a Senior Associate and Associate at Eversheds Sutherland from August 2012 to August 2022. Erica contributed as a member of the AI Ethics Advisory Board at Smart Dubai from February 2019 to August 2022 and had a secondment as Legal Counsel at Microsoft from October 2018 to November 2021. Erica also gained experience as a Judicial Assistant at the Royal Courts of Justice in 2011. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Data Science, Technology & Innovation from The University of Edinburgh, an Executive Education program from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a BS in International Finance from the European School of Economics.
