Akinwale Akinbiyi

Akinwale Akinbiyi is a Mechanical Design Engineer at PEG since 2015, specializing in the design of Mechanical HVAC systems for residential buildings. Akinwale performs loading analysis to create duct layouts and size HVAC equipment, utilizing tools like Wrightsoft and ACCA Manual protocols. Prior to this role, Akinwale worked as an Incentive/Rebate Program Analyst at the DC Department of Human Resources, where digital archiving and linear programming were successfully implemented. Akinwale also contributed to weatherization projects and NetZero housing plans as a Student Engineer at the University of Maryland, and participated in wind turbine engine fabrication at Renewable Energy Research and Development during studies at Penn State University, where a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering was earned. Akinwale holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the University of Maryland.
