David Frederick

Assistant Director, Policy & Implementation at Peg's Foundation

David Frederick, M.S.A.H., is the Project Coordinator for Peg's Foundation. In his role, David works to advance the behavioral health crisis care continuum in Ohio and improve access to quality, trauma-informed services for those experiencing mental illness. Through previous consulting experience, he has expertise in state and federal Medicaid policy, behavioral health program development and fidelity, crisis service models, emerging health care delivery models and federal waivers, managed care models and contract provisions, clinical documentation and compliance, services for children with complex needs and community-based behavioral health services. David collaborates with a broad range of providers, state administrations, trade associations, health systems and other stakeholders in healthcare and criminal justice space.

David serves on the Ohio Crisis Task Force, an initiative spearheaded by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to guide Ohio's vision for a sustainable crisis response system. In addition, he serves on the local planning committee of the Greater Ohio chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is an alumni board member for the Masters of Science in Allied Health program at Otterbein University. David received his bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Georgia and holds a Master's of Science in Allied Health in Health Care Administration from Otterbein University.
