Carissa Isbell has a diverse work experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Carissa started their career as an Intern at Prudential/Snyder Commercial Real Estate Services in 2005. Carissa then worked as a Sales Assistant at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management for a few months before joining Pekin Insurance in the same year. At Pekin Insurance, Carissa held various roles, starting as a Claim Analyst and progressing to Specialty Claim Supervisor, Claim Manager, Director, and currently serving as the Assistant Vice President since February 2021.
Carissa Isbell, CLU, ChHC, FLMI, FLHC completed their education at various institutions. From 2001 to 2003, they attended Illinois Central College, where they focused on Accounting/Business Management. Following this, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration and Business Information Systems at Illinois State University.
In addition to their academic achievements, Carissa Isbell has obtained several certifications in the financial services industry. In 2010, they became a Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) from LOMA. The following year, in 2011, they attained the Associate Financial Services Institute (AFSI) designation, also from LOMA. In 2012, Carissa earned the Fellow, Life and Health Claims (FLHC) credential from the International Claim Association (ICA). Continuing their professional development, in 2015, they became a Chartered Healthcare Consultant (ChHC) through The American College of Financial Services.
Most recently, Carissa Isbell acquired the Insurance Producer License - Life & Health from the National Insurance Producer Registry in May 2021 and is expected to achieve the prestigious Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU) designation from The American College of Financial Services in May 2023.
