Chris Cooper

Chris joined Pelion as an investing partner in 2007, following 17+ years in the software and tech industry. Chris held a variety of operational positions including senior roles in sales management, strategic alliances, corporate development, and he ran large-scale R&D businesses with P&L responsibilities at Novell, Inc. Chris also worked alongside Blake in Novell’s corporate venture organization where he participated in a variety of direct investments, including Redhat.

Chris leverages his extensive operating experience and expertise to identify visionary and capable entrepreneurs building disruptive software businesses in sectors, including Cybersecurity, AI, Big Data Analytics/BI, and generally disruptive SaaS businesses. Chris’s passion is helping our portfolio companies through the process of building out cultures, teams, strategy and operational excellence that maximizes value for the companies and investors alike.
