Jean Karim Metwalli

Jean Karim Metwalli has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jean Karim started their career at Pure Cobalt in 2012, where they worked as a Senior Analyst on JAVA integration for jonview.com.

In 2013, Metwalli worked as a PHP Web Developer at Tristan Interactive and also as a Freelance Web Developer at TC Media. Jean Karim then became a Mayoral Candidate for Vrai Changement pour Montréal, where they managed all campaign communications and led the team of candidates.

Metwalli joined Technologie Metwalli in 2007 as the Chief Engineer and President, where they released two products. Jean Karim later moved to Mentel Web Solutions in 2013 as the Director of Engineering, leading a team of talented developers.

From 2015 to 2016, Metwalli worked at Videri, Inc. as a Product Manager for Enterprise products and later as a Development Manager, leading a dynamic team of developers.

In 2016, Metwalli founded Waltz Labs Canada, the R&D branch of Waltz Inc., and acted as the VP of Engineering. Jean Karim then became the Managing Director of Technology Products at Waltz Inc., where they developed the vision for the company as an orchestrator and structural component of the smart city.

Metwalli later joined WeWork in 2019 as a Product Director, focusing on creating innovative access products to revolutionize various industries.

In 2020, Metwalli co-founded PemPem and currently serves as the Co-Founder and CTO.

Jean Karim Metwalli graduated from Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in 1992 with a degree in science pures (DEC). Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, which they completed in the period from 1992 to 1996.
