Hun Kim

Hun Kim is an accomplished actuary with extensive experience in pricing and underwriting within the insurance industry. Currently serving as Chief Actuary at Pen Underwriting in Australia since September 2023, Hun previously held the position of Head of Commercial Pricing at Guild Insurance. Prior roles include Senior Consultant at Finity Consulting and a significant tenure at Zurich Financial Services Australia, where multiple key positions were held, including Chief Pricing Actuary for both the Asia Pacific region and Australia. Notable achievements include developing robust pricing processes that led to double-digit improvements in underlying loss ratios and managing teams of actuaries across various functions. Hun's career also includes leadership roles at Zurich Malaysia General Insurance and Allianz Australia Limited, as well as foundational experience at Tillinghast Towers Perrin. Hun Kim holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Actuarial Studies and Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
