Emma Shepherd

Emma Shepherd currently serves as the National Head for Wales at BBC Children in Need since September 2023. In addition to this role, Emma holds the position of Non Executive Director and Vice Chair at Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Interest Company, a role undertaken since October 2021, and serves as a Trustee for Humanists UK since July 2019. Emma previously led Cardiff Foodbank as Chief Executive Officer from May 2022 to October 2023 and worked at Building Communities Trust as Communications Manager from September 2015 to May 2022. Earlier in the career, Emma was a Copywriter/In-House Journalist at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and served as Communications Officer at the Welsh Refugee Council, after beginning as a Copywriter at the University of South Wales from March 2000 to September 2006.
