Thomas Nielson

Thomas Nielson is a seasoned air traffic control professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Certified Air Traffic Controller Instructor at PenBay Technology Group since January 2022, Thomas instructs on standard operating procedures, letters of agreement, and airspace management for the Cape Cod, Boston, MA, and Manchester, NH metropolitan areas. Prior to this, Thomas dedicated 30 years to the Federal Aviation Administration, holding positions including Air Traffic Flow Management International Specialist, Frontline Supervisor, and Training Specialist at Boston TRACON, as well as working at Providence Tower. Thomas began their career as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force from April 1981 to May 1990. Educational credentials include a degree in Air Traffic Control from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and training from the USAF Air Traffic Controller School.
