Jeremy Pietersma, CHST has a diverse work experience in the construction and safety industry. Jeremy started their career in 2007 with Power Line Services, Inc, where they worked as a project superintendent assistant and gained experience as a groundsman, equipment operator, and heavy crane operator. Jeremy then joined Anderson & Wood Construction Co as a project coordinator in 2012. In 2013, they became a safety specialist III at EC Source, where they worked on a transmission power line project in Utah. From 2015 to 2016, they served as the interim project safety director at EC Source. Pietersma then joined PacifiCorp as a senior safety administrator from 2016 to 2020. Jeremy worked as a safety consultant at GEW-LLC for a brief period in 2020 before joining Pence Construction as a field safety manager. Throughout their career, Pietersma has focused on creating a safer work environment by identifying unsafe work behavior and managing hazards and risks.

Jeremy Pietersma, CHST, has a solid educational background in the field of occupational safety and health, as well as fire science.

From 2005 to 2005, Jeremy attended Kilgore College and obtained a Firefighter I, II, III, and IV degree in Fire Science and Firefighting.

In 2014, Jeremy received an Occupational Safety and Health Professional certificate from OSHAcademy, further enhancing their expertise in occupational safety and health. Jeremy also became a Certified Ergonomics Technician through the National Association of Safety Professionals.

Continuing their education, Jeremy pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety/Fire Science at Columbia Southern University from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they attended OSHAcademy Safety and Health Training, where they obtained an Occupational Safety and Health Professional certificate in the same year.

Jeremy has also obtained several certifications to further advance their career. In 2012, they became NCCCO certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators. In 2014, they achieved the OSHA 500 certification from the U.S. Department of Labor, followed by the Construction Health & Safety Technician certificate from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in 2015.
