Rajik Ibrahim

Rajik Ibrahim's work experience begins in 2009 as a Research Scientist at Singapore General Hospital. From 2010 to 2016, they served as the Chief Research Officer at Synamatix Sdn Bhd, where they established a drug discovery and development unit. In 2017, they co-founded and became the Chief Scientific Officer of Viramatix Sdn Bhd. Rajik'smost recent position is as the Founder and CSO of Pencil Biosciences Limited, where they are developing a next-generation genome-editing system.

Rajik Ibrahim holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetic Engineering and Molecular Biology from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Rajik completed this degree from 2005 to 2009. Prior to their PhD, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biochemical Technology from Madurai Kamaraj University, which they pursued from 2000 to 2002. Rajik Ibrahim's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Microbiology from Bharathidasan University, which they completed from 1997 to 2000. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained various certificates such as "Connecting with Executives" from LinkedIn in July 2018, "Drug Discovery, Development and Commercialization" from Coursera Verified Certificates in January 2015, "Medicinal Chemistry" from edX in December 2014, and "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship" from Coursera in June 2014.
