Charlie Ross has had a diverse work experience. Charlie started their career in 2003 as a Marine Surveyor at Lloyd's Register, where they worked until 2006. In 2006, they joined Pendennis Shipyard Limited as a Project Manager and later became a Director in 2011. Their responsibilities at Pendennis Shipyard included leading teams for efficient production activities, setting performance goals, cost control, and developing production strategies.

Charlie Ross has a strong education background in the field of maritime engineering and business administration. Charlie obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Exeter in 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a MSc Maritime Engineering Studies degree specializing in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Southampton from 2002 to 2003. Charlie completed their undergraduate studies at Solent University, where they earned a BEng (Hons) degree in Yacht & Powercraft Design with a focus on Yacht Design from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, Charlie Ross obtained the Fellow certification from the Royal Institution of Naval Architects in October 2019.
