Data Scientist at Pendulum

Daniel Zhu is the current data scientist at Pendulum, and has also previously served as the CEO and co-founder of VerbalEyes, a startup focused on making digital video content accessible for both humans and computers. Prior to that, they interned at Amazon as a software development intern, where they designed and implemented a distributed indexing solution for Amazon's big data file system. Daniel has also been a research fellow at Giving Tech Labs, where they constructed a social impact funding knowledge graph from web data to discover trends in the social sector. Additionally, Daniel has served as a teaching assistant for machine learning at the University of Washington, as well as a research assistant at the same institution.

Daniel Zhu received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. Prior to that, they attended high school at the International Community School.
