Michael Heath has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles and industries. Michael is currently the Vice President of Operations at Penguin Computing since November 2021. Previously, they worked at Hyve Solutions where they held the positions of Vice President of Strategy & North America Manufacturing Operations from August 2018 to November 2021, and Senior Director of Manufacturing Strategy & Operations from January 2018 to August 2021. Prior to their time at Amazon, Michael was an LGO Research Fellow at Fung Group from June 2015 to December 2015. Michael led the improvement of the quality management process and developed technology solutions to save time and costs in apparel manufacturing.

Michael's earlier experience includes roles at Applied Materials as a Process Engineer III and a Process Engineer I & II from June 2008 to May 2014, where they developed etching processes, coordinated site qualifications, and built relationships with customers to ensure their needs were met. Michael also worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford University from May 2007 to June 2008, where they conducted research in microelectronics manufacturing. Additionally, they worked as a Summer Lab Technician in Research and Development at Landec Corporation in 2006, gaining experience in polymer synthesis and purification techniques.
