Doug Karpa is an experienced legal and policy expert specializing in environmental law, regulatory policy, and renewable energy. Currently serving as Managing Regulatory Counsel at Peninsula Clean Energy since March 2019, Doug has also held positions such as Senior Regulatory Policy Analyst and Policy Director at the Clean Coalition. With a robust background in environmental and land use consulting through Karpa Natural Resources Law and previous roles at Turtle Island Restoration Network, Holland & Knight LLP, and more, Doug has championed marine conservation and has been involved in significant renewable energy projects. Doug's education includes a JD from the University of California, Berkeley, a Ph.D. in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University, and a Bachelor's degree with honors in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
