Ray Kong

Ray Kong is a highly experienced pharmacist with a strong background in various clinical settings. Currently serving as the Senior Pharmacist for Medicine and Emergency at Peninsula Health since December 2019, Ray leads a team of 14 pharmacists across multiple specialties, including emergency medicine and oncology. In an acting capacity as the Associate Director of Pharmacy - Clinical, Ray oversees the clinical services for a larger team of 35 pharmacists and interns. Previous roles include Cytosuite Manager at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Senior Oncology Pharmacist at Western Health, where responsibilities encompassed patient care and medication management in chemotherapy and palliative care settings. Earlier experience includes roles at Northern Health and the Capital & Coast District Health Board, providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care across various departments. Ray holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Otago.
