Kate Lauzar

Kate Lauzar serves as the Executive Director at Peninsula Temple Beth El since July 2019, where significant achievements include leading the congregation through the Covid-19 pandemic and managing transitions related to clergy leadership. Previously, Kate held the role of Director of Synagogue Strategy at Community Lab, UJA-Federation of New York, focusing on developing strategies for synagogues and nurturing partnerships. Prior to that, from August 2012 to June 2018, Kate excelled in various planning roles within the UJA-Federation of New York, including SYNERGY Planning Director, where oversight of strategic initiatives helped to support synagogues in New York. Kate began a career in business as Senior Vice President at Stratford Shoes, Ltd, managing numerous operational aspects while maintaining long-term client relationships. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree, cum laude, in Russian Studies from Harvard University.
