Lisa Okerlund-Smith has extensive experience in various human resources and program management roles. Lisa currently holds the position of System Director of Talent Acquisition & Employee Engagement at Penn Highlands Healthcare, where they have been since 2020. Before that, they worked at the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Quality Assurance Risk Management Coordinator and later as a Director of Human Resources from 2016 to 2020. Lisa also has experience as a Director of Program Services at GA Family Services and as a Program Manager and Clinical Supervisor at The GEO Group, Inc. Their career began in 2008 at the Council on Addiction Recovery Services, where they served as a Coordinator/Residential Director for five years.
Lisa Okerlund-Smith obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from St. Bonaventure University, where they attended from 1996 to 2000. Lisa also holds a certification as a CASAC-T Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor-Trainee from New York State.
