Thomas Goggin

Thomas Goggin has an extensive and diverse work experience. Thomas is currently the Head of Corporate Social Responsibility & Talent Programs at Penn Mutual since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Synchrony Financial as an Assistant Vice President, Corporate Citizenship from November 2016 to January 2021. Thomas also has experience as a Director at Changing Our World, Inc., a philanthropy and fundraising consulting firm, from November 2014 to November 2016.

Before joining Changing Our World, Inc., Thomas worked at the Greater New York Councils, Boy Scouts of America in various roles. From January 2013 to November 2014, they served as the District Director in Brooklyn, NY, where they led strategic goal setting, fundraising campaigns, and team management. From June 2010 to December 2012, Thomas was a District Executive in the Bronx, NY, responsible for programming, fundraising, and community engagement.

Earlier in their career, Thomas worked as an International ESL Teacher at St. Gabriel's College in Bangkok, Thailand, from May 2008 to May 2009. Thomas also had a brief role in the Office of the Mayor, Community Assistance Unit for the City of New York, where they were part of the PlaNYC Initiative - Community Development Team from May 2007 to August 2007, focusing on community relations and environmental initiatives.

Thomas Goggin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Loyola University Maryland, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. Thomas then pursued a Master of Arts degree in International Studies from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, which they completed from 2013 to 2015. Currently, they are enrolled in the Executive Master of Human Resource Management (EMHRM) program at Cornell University ILR School, set to graduate in 2024. In 2007, Thomas Goggin also spent a brief period at Richmond, The American International University in London, although no degree or field of study is specified for this time period.
