Denise Bortree

Denise (Sevick) Bortree is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of communications, currently serving as the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Professor of Communications at Penn State University since July 2007. Denise also holds the position of Director of the Arthur W. Page Center for Integrity in Public Communication and has previously worked as an Associate and Assistant Professor of Communications at the same institution. Prior to academia, Denise served as Communication Manager at Modis and Communication/Marketing Manager at Alltel. Denise earned a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Florida between 2002 and 2007 and a BA in Writing from Geneva College, with studies at Columbia International University in 1991-1992.
