Nelson Schexnayder

Nelson Schexnayder is a seasoned landman with over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, specializing in upstream and midstream operations. Currently serving as a Senior Landman at Baytex Energy Corp. and Ranger Oil Corporation, Nelson also operates as a Senior Land Advisor and Consultant since June 2020. Previous roles include Senior Staff Landman and Land Advisor at Hunt Oil Company, as well as consulting positions at Century Exploration Houston, LLC, and various other companies. Nelson is adept at collaborating with senior leadership and managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and multi-departmental stakeholder engagement. Nelson holds a degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, awarded between 1994 and 1998.
