Niels Simonsen

Niels Simonsen is the current CFO at Penni.io, and they have also served as the Head of Finance at Templafy from October 2019 to November 2021. Niels has a wealth of experience in finance and accounting, having worked as a Manager in Transaction Services at PwC from December 2014 to September 2019. During their time at PwC, Niels was responsible for internal and external reporting, and they successfully passed external audits without remarks.

Niels has played an integral role in Penni.io's success, leading the detachment of shared services from a sister company, including the accounting function. Niels has also built up Accounting & Finance from 1 employee to 12 employees, and they have overseen the implementation of a new ERP system (Netsuite) in just 7 months. Niels has also been instrumental in Penni.io's rapid growth, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing and supporting the smooth transition between Sales and Accounting & Finance. In addition, Niels has helped to open new offices in Sydney and Berlin, and they were part of Penni.io's series C funding round.

Niels Simonsen is a state authorized public accountant who specializes in pass. Niels attended the FSR - Danish Public Accounting Association for their education. Niels also holds a kandidat degree in Cand.merc.aud from Copenhagen Business School and a bachelor's degree in HD regnskab from Aalborg University.
