Heather (Bialy) Powell has a diverse work experience in various roles related to human resources and animal welfare. Heather started their career in 2004 as an Animal Facility Inspector at the NJ Department of Health, where they conducted inspections of licensed animal facilities and provided training on health and welfare regulations. From 2011 to 2013, Heather served as the National Director of Shelter Services at The Humane Society of the United States. Heather then became the Executive Director of the Animal Adoption Center in 2013. In 2014, they joined The Salvation Army as a Human Resources Assistant/Coordinator. Heather's experience in HR continued at Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge, where they held positions such as HR Manager, Human Resources Director, and currently serves as the VP of Human Resources and Compliance.
