Alex Rausch has a diverse work experience that spans over different education institutions. In 2008, they worked as a Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher at Meade Elementary in North Philadelphia. Alex continued their teaching career as an Upper School English/Humanities Teacher at St. Peter's School from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they joined St. Basil Academy as an Academic Support Coordinator/English Teacher. Following that, they served as a Middle School Assistant Principal at PA Leadership Charter School from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Middle School Principal at Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School. Additionally, in 2012, they were a College Access and Career Readiness Coordinator at the University of Pennsylvania, where they worked with William Sayre High School in West Philadelphia to plan and implement college access and career readiness programs for students.

Alex Rausch holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership from Cabrini University, which was obtained from 2021 to 2024. Prior to that, Alex completed a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at Cabrini University from 2019 to 2020. Alex also has a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Temple University College of Education and Human Development, earned from 2007 to 2008. Alex's undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature, General, which was obtained from Temple University from 2003 to 2007.

In addition to Alex's educational degrees, they also hold several certifications from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. These certifications include Pennsylvania Administrative Level II - PK-12 Principal (obtained in 2024), Pennsylvania PK-12 Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction (obtained in December 2023), Pennsylvania Instructional Level II - Citizenship 6-9 (obtained in 2016), and Pennsylvania Instructional Level II - English 7-12 (obtained in 2016).
