Cheryl Gray Mitchell is an experienced science educator currently serving as a Science Teacher for the University Scholars Program at Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School since July 2024. With a long-standing association with Educational Testing Service since 2002, Cheryl leads scoring for AP Biology exams and contributes as a test item writer. Cheryl has also held roles as a Faculty Consultant for AP Biology and Quantitative Skills with The College Board since 2005, focusing on inquiry-based learning and real-world applications of mathematics in science. Previous teaching experience includes positions at Tower Hill School and The Episcopal Academy, where Cheryl taught AP Biology and chemistry courses. Cheryl's leadership in educational initiatives includes facilitating the College Readiness Program for The National Math and Science Initiative and authoring materials for McGraw-Hill Higher Education. Cheryl holds a B.A. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego and has extensive expertise in curriculum development and mentoring within science education.
