Dan Truitt

an Truitt is a professional engineer who is also a three term PA State Legislator representing East Goshen and West Chester. Since 1999, Dan has been the President of Truitt Engineering, Inc. based in West Chester, which provides automation design and consulting services.

From 2011 to 2016 Dan was the State Representative for the 156th District. In Harrisburg, Dan served on Education, Labor & Industry, Local Government, State Government, and Commerce committees. He drafted and introduced legislation related to education, charter schools, and other matters. Dan was recognized for his work and was awarded the “Charter School Champion” award from the PA Coalition of Public Charter Schools.

Prior to serving as legislator, Dan worked for several engineering companies based in the Delaware Valley. Dan is a graduate of Villanova and West Chester universities.

Dan’s two sons have graduated from PALCS, University Scholars Program, and are now successful in their careers.
