Dr. Karla Johnson

Dr. Karla Johnson has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Dr. Karla is currently the Director of Academics at PA Leadership Charter School since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Academic Officer and Principal at Pennsylvania Leadership Charter School (PALCS) since 2015. In 2013, they worked at The School District of Philadelphia as a School Based Teacher Leader, where they had various responsibilities including teacher coaching and observations, student dean, assessment coordinator, and leadership team member. Dr. Karla also worked as a Physics Teacher at New Media Technology Charter School from 2006 to 2007.

Dr. Karla Johnson received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physics from Lincoln University in 1996. In 2013, they obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Gwynedd Mercy University.
