Mathias Mentrop

Mathias Mentrop is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in retail management across multiple countries. Currently serving as Managing Director and CEO at PENNY Hungary since July 2023, Mathias previously held the role of Managing Director and COO at PENNY Česká republika from December 2015 to June 2023, as well as Director of Sales. Mathias's career includes a tenure as Director of Sales at Penny Market Bulgaria EOOD from November 2012 to November 2015. Prior to these roles, Mathias worked at ALDI Nord from January 2004 to October 2012 in various positions including Sales Manager and District Manager, and began professional development as a Management Trainee at Schlecker from April 1998 to December 2003, where also served as District Manager.
