Austin Penner

Austin Penner began their work experience in 2014 as an Analyst II at Mercer, where they primarily worked on defined benefits plans and utilized SQL for data analysis. Austin then joined Lockton Companies in 2017 as a Data Analyst, developing predictive analytics models using SQL and R. In 2019, they worked on personal projects as a Data Scientist, conducting sentiment analysis on Reddit politics and implementing a CNN from scratch with NumPy for Atari DQN. In 2020, Penner became a Data Science Resident at Galvanize Inc, where they created a statistical model for measuring student outcomes and provided guidance on various data science projects. Austin then joined Catapult Systems, a Quisitive Company, initially as a Senior Consultant and later as a Sr Lead Consultant in data engineering. Austin'sroles involved working on data engineering projects until January 2023, when they transitioned to their current role as a Data Engineer at Pennybacker Capital.

Austin Penner received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics from Texas Tech University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. In 2019, they attended Galvanize Inc, where they specialized in Data Science. Furthermore, they obtained additional certifications in Deep Learning and Machine Learning from Coursera in January 2019 and October 2018, respectively.
