Joe Troyen

Founder & CEO at PenPal Schools

Joe Troyen's work experience began in 2007 when they worked as an Acquisitions Assistant at the Hudson Yards Development Corporation. Joe then moved on to become a Lead Policy Analyst at the Office of the Bronx Borough President. In 2008, they joined Opera Solutions as a Business Analyst, then took on roles as an Associate and later as a Product Manager. In 2011, Joe founded PenPal Schools, a platform that connects students globally for collaborative online projects. Joe served as the Founder & CEO of PenPal Schools. In 2014, Joe co-founded ProCell Therapies with their father and brother and served as the company's CEO. Joe later transitioned to become a Strategic Advisor for ProCell Therapies to focus on PenPal Schools.

Joe Troyen attended Pomona College from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with a minor in Spanish. In 2006, they also participated in a study abroad program at Middlebury College Language Schools in Madrid, Spain, where they completed coursework in Politics, Economics, and History in Spanish.
