Jenny Peters has an extensive work experience in various industries. Jenny is currently the Director of Communications and Brand at the Pension Protection Fund since December 2018. Before that, they worked as the Head of Corporate Communications (Interim) at Travis Perkins plc from May 2018 to November 2018 and also as the Digital Comms & Engagement Lead (Interim) from January 2018 to May 2018. Prior to Travis Perkins, Jenny served as the Director of Communications and Engagement (Interim) at House of Fraser from August 2017 to January 2018.
Before their interim roles, Jenny worked as the VP Transformation & Internal Communications at Sage from December 2015 to August 2017. Jenny also had various freelance assignments as a Communications Consultant for FTSE 350, Fortune 100, and Not-for-profit organizations from September 2015 to December 2015. Prior to that, they worked as a Freelance Communications Specialist at TNT from March 2015 to July 2015.
Jenny's experience also includes their role as the Group Head of Communications at Thomas Cook Group, where they played a key role in the company's transformation under the leadership of Harriet Green. Jenny joined Thomas Cook Group in October 2012 and left in January 2015.
Before their tenure at Thomas Cook, Jenny was the Head of Corporate Communications at Premier Farnell, a FTSE 250 global high-service electronics distribution group, from July 2006 to September 2012. Jenny led the corporate communications efforts, including investor relations, during a period of strategic change and digital transformation in the business.
Jenny's earlier experience includes working as the Marketing Communications and Customer Service Manager at Sentry Group, the world leader in fire-resistant security storage, from January 2005 to June 2006. Jenny was responsible for product marketing and customer communications and successfully established and led a multi-lingual customer service team.
Jenny started their career in internal communication at Milton Keynes Council from July 2003 to December 2004.
Jenny Peters attended Pilgrim Upper School in Bedford from 1973 to 1980. Jenny completed their A Levels, focusing on English Language and Literature, History, and General subjects.
