Ramin Setoodeh

Co-Editor-In-Chief, Variety at PMC

Ramin Setoodeh is the Co-Editor-In-Chief of Variety, where he oversees day-to-day operations of the newsroom and spearheads editorial franchises.

Since 2013, Ramin has written more than 50 cover stories for the magazine on a range of figures in the entertainment industry, including Lady Gaga, Ted Sarandos, Chadwick Boseman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Robert Pattinson, Jeff Zucker and Halle Berry. He’s won awards for writing investigative stories about sexual harassment in Hollywood, and in 2018 was named Entertainment Journalist of the Year by the Los Angeles Press Club.

As an editor, Ramin oversees the magazine’s annual Pride and New York issues. He created the publication’s New Power of New York franchise, which has included guest essays by Bill Clinton, Joe Biden, Lena Waithe, David Remnick, Don Lemon, Leslie Jones and Timothee Chalamet.

Ramin is the host and executive producer of “Actors on Actors,” Variety’s Emmy-winning, semi-annual TV series that features the best performances of the year in film and on television.

He’s the author of the 2019 New York Times best-selling book “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View,” about the daytime talk show created by Barbara Walters.

Ramin graduated from Stanford University.
