Waqas Ahmad

Waqas Ahmad has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Engineering Performance Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Penspen since February 2009. Previously held roles at Penspen include Project Manager and Senior Project Engineer, where involvement included managing multidisciplinary projects with ADNOC Group Companies and various EPC Contractors. Waqas Ahmad also worked as Lead Pipeline Engineer, developing detailed engineering designs for significant projects for clients such as GASCO and QP in the UAE and Qatar, with expertise in Conceptual/FEED and Detailed design of oil and gas pipelines to ASME B31 standards. Prior experience includes positions at ADNOC Group as a Pipeline Engineer (PMC), Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. as a Pipeline Engineer (Field EM), and ILF Consulting Engineers as a GIS Engineer. Waqas Ahmad holds a Master's degree in Spatial Sciences from the University of the Punjab, obtained in 2005.
