Douglas B. Thornton

Douglas B. Thornton is an accomplished construction professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various high-profile projects. Currently serving as a Senior Superintendent at The PENTA Building Group since July 2025, Douglas is overseeing the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas - Guitar Tower project. Prior to this, Douglas worked at Fluor Corporation in multiple capacities, including Construction Manager for the Microelectronics Industry and Site Construction Manager for the Symbotic Program. With a strong background in project supervision, Douglas has held positions such as General Superintendent for significant upgrades and constructions across the United States, including the Gordie Howe International Bridge and Freeport McMoRan CCU Upgrade. Douglas's educational foundation includes a BS in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, complemented by studies at Iowa State University and Lake City High School.
