Joan Kristensen

Joan Kristensen currently serves as the VP & Head of EMEA at Penumbra, Inc., a position held since September 2021. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Medtronic from November 2007 to September 2021, where Joan held various roles including Sr. Director Neurovascular EMEA and Country Manager Denmark, as well as positions focused on regional business leadership and sales force effectiveness. Earlier career experience includes roles as a Produktspecialist at Stryker and Medi-Plast, and as a nurse at Odense University Hospital. Joan holds an Executive MBA in Change Management and Leadership from Aarhus University, completed between 2013 and 2015, and is a state-registered nurse, qualified from 1994 to 1998.
