Kathy Zappitello

Kathy Zappitello is an experienced professional in library leadership and community service, currently serving as Project Lead and Core Instructor at the Association for Rural & Small Libraries since January 2024. As the Executive Director of Conneaut Public Library since 2009, Kathy has demonstrated significant leadership in library management. Kathy's contributions extend to board member roles at The Conneaut Foundation and the Community Counseling Center of Ashtabula County, as well as facilitating corporate training webinars through PCI Webinars. Additional responsibilities include serving as an IMLS Grant Reviewer for the Institute of Museum and Library Services and participating in the American Library Association as a Nominating Committee Member and Public and Cultural Programs Advisory Board Chair. With a Bachelor's degree from Kent State University, Kathy also contributed to the community as a dance instructor at Wildfire Dance Studio from 2013 until May 2024 and held a board member position at the Conneaut Area Chamber of Commerce from 2014 to 2021.
